Young Worker Safety Poster Contest

Are you a California teen between 14 and 18? Design a poster highlighting job safety and health for teens and you could win a cash prize! Additionally, the first place winning poster will be distributed to schools and libraries throughout California, and sent out upon request.

Contest Rules

All youth between the ages of 14-18 who live in California can submit a poster in any media: pen and ink, collage, paint, photography, computer, etc.

Deadline: December 5, 2014

How Do I Enter?

  1. Create a poster up to 17″ x 22″ in any language with a theme related to “Safe Jobs for Youth.”
  2. Fill out and sign the Entry/Release Form. All entries must include a poster and your entry form.
    Entries must be postmarked by December 5, 2014.
  3. Mail or bring your entry to: Joselyn Delgado

Young Worker Safety Video Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest

Are you a California teen between the ages of 14 and 18? Produce a 30-second video highlighting job health and safety for teens and you could win a cash prize and have your video distributed to television stations, among others!

Contest Rules

All youth between the ages of 14-18 who live in California can submit a 30-second video using your creative talents: dancing, acting, script writing, directing, or even singing to promote job safety for youth!

Deadline: February 2, 2015.

How Do I Enter?

  1. Create and record a 30-second video (on CD or DVD only) with a theme related to “Safe Jobs for Youth.” For ideas on your theme, see Helpful Tips.
  2. Fill out and sign the entry form, and get necessary permissions from all participants. See Contest Rules for detailed information.
  3. All entries must include a disk and your entry form. They must be postmarked or hand delivered no later than February 2, 2015.

Prizes

All winners will be notified no later than May during Safe Jobs for Youth Month and the top three winners for both contests will be posted on our website.

One First Prize: $300
One Second Prize: $200
One Third Prize: $100

AND One $100 prize to the 1st place school.
